Provision of Fund Directors by IMS
International Management Services Ltd holds a Mutual Fund Administrators Licence issued by the Monetary Authority under the Mutual Funds Law and specialises in providing professionally qualified and recognised Cayman resident directors to mutual funds (defined in the mutual funds law as "operators"). As operators to the fund IMS can coordinate and monitor the appointment and activities of fund administrators, attorneys, auditors and custodians.
Although IMS services are normally restricted to providing directors or operators to funds IMS can also assist in the licensing and administration of Cayman mutual funds by arranging introductions to a number of internationally known mutual fund administrators attorneys and auditors who are experienced with all types of Cayman registered funds.
Our Philosophy
We have been providing personal and corporate directors to Cayman Islands companies for many years. The offshore industry realised very early on that it would not be possible for Cayman companies to find independent personal directors with the necessary skill sets and in the necessary numbers to service their requirements. This is especially true of hedge funds where a certain degree of specialised knowledge of the industry is required. We and others like us have therefore developed a service of supplying corporate directors or personal directors with the required skill sets to fill the position of independent director on the Boards of the many hedge funds located in the Cayman Islands. We call this service "corporate governance". Each director we supply does not work in a vacuum but has the full backing of IMS facilities including research, data storage and analysis, personal assistance,office and communication facilities, etc. Corporate governance services have become as common in the Cayman Islands as legal and auditing services.
